Small Tortoise Brooch

This ornate Viking-style tortoise brooch is inspired by the distinctive oval brooches worn during the Viking Age. Featuring intricate openwork patterns, raised decorative bosses, and flowing geometric and scrollwork detailing, it captures the craftsmanship and character of early medieval jewellery.

The antique bronze finish highlights the richly detailed design, giving the brooch an aged, historical appearance. Traditionally, tortoise brooches were worn in pairs to secure the shoulder straps of Viking apron dresses, often with beads or chains suspended between them.

This brooch is supplied as a single pin, making it a versatile accessory for Viking, Norse, and early medieval costumes, historical re-enactment, LARP, and living history displays.
